Jerry Kelsey has been active
as an arranger/composer, music educator and adjudicator for
the past 30 years.
Through his business: Custom Arranging Services,
he continues to serve as an arranger/composer for many high school marching
bands, collegiate marching bands, and drum & bugle corps all across the United States.

- Gainesville H.S. in Georgia
- Boone County H.S. in Kentucky
He is the current arranger for the University at Buffalo in New
York. He has also written
for:
- University of Minnesota
- Syracuse University
- McNeese State
- The University of South
Florida
- University of Hawaii
He has been the brass arranger/instructor
and musical designer for many prominent Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps
throughout the decades including
the Crossmen, Suncoast
Sound, Florida
Wave and most recently Capital
Regiment.
He was also recently a consultant and brass instructor with the Boston
Crusaders.
He is currently the arranger, Caption
Head, and instructor for the 5-time DCA
World Champion Empire Statesmen, and has arranged for the San Francisco Renegades and Rochester
Crusaders.
Jerry currently serves as the Program
Director and arranger for the Racine Kilties Sr.
Drum and Bugle Corps from Racine, Wisconsin.
Jerry is also a proud member of the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame.
He is a published arranger with Warner Bros. Co., Arranger’s
Publishers Co., and recently
was employed by Home Box Office.
As a composer his premier of Overture:
To a New Beginning was commissioned by the West
Bloomfield Wind Symphony in Michigan.
Mr. Kelsey was also a highly successful
high school band director in both New York and Florida.
Jerry is also very active as an adjudicator. He has served
as an adjudicator for the ISSMA in Indiana, the Southern
States Judges Association, the New York
Federation of Contest Judges and Drum Corps International.
Mr. Kelsey is also a producer with Mark Studios in
Clarence, NY. He recently was a producer for “Euphonium
Unlimited’s” latest project with
Brian Bowman.
Mr. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fredonia
State University in Fredonia, NY. While
at Fredonia he studied composition with Dr. Walter
S. Hartley and conducting with Dr. Harry
John Brown.
He currently resides in rural western New York with his
wife Dianna and daughter, Jessie. |
